The festival, organised by the cultural associations G.VERDI APS and HEMIOLIA APS, is dedicated to promoting the saxophone through masterclasses, concerts and competitions, offering a platform for training and performance to enthusiasts of this instrument.
ASS. CULTURALE "G.VERDI" APS and WDS
The project 'I weekends del saxofono' (Saxophone Weekends) was launched in 2018, thanks to the collaboration between the Artistic Director of the Giuseppe Verdi Cultural Association of Santo Stefano di Camastra, Maestro Salvatore MARINARO, and Maestro Basilio MERLINO, a Sicilian saxophonist who graduated from the conservatories of Palermo and Poitiers (France), artistic director of the event and main teacher of the course.
The advanced music course dedicated to the saxophone boasts the participation of internationally renowned teachers such as Vincent David, Fabrizio Mancuso, Antonino Mollica, Marina Notaro and Gilles Tressos.
HEMIOLIA APS and WDS
The HEMIOLIA APS association was founded with the aim of offering a space for meeting, reflection and growth through events, workshops and activities embracing art, music, theatre, literature and much more.
The collaboration with the cultural association 'G.Verdi' APS stems from a shared desire to pool skills, experience and resources to ensure a high-quality event capable of promoting our region on a large scale. In an increasingly interconnected world, collaboration between local entities represents a concrete response to the challenges of internationalisation.
